5 Reasons to Smile more in 2015

Smiling is such a beautiful thing to do. It's a natural thing to do, and it also has plenty of benefits to your health and overall life. Too many people let the hardships of their life get in the way of regularly cracking a smile! There are so many reasons to smile in this New Year. 2015 is going to be a fun year, especially when you remember the things that make you smile more.

5 Reasons to Smile more in 2015

    1. You'll Feel Amazing… Even If You Fake It

When you smile, your body feels great. A multitude of studies have shown that when you truly smile, it affects different muscles in your mind and body that help you to feel more joyful. The reason behind this is that when a person smiles naturally, they're basically telling themselves that they are happy, and so even a fake smile works the same way. Your brain sends endorphins, also known as "happy signals".

Try this exercise: close your eyes, think of a happy thought, and then smile while closing your eyes. Do this exercise for 1 minute or longer. It will basically help you lift up your spirits and get you to use your smile as a way to help you feel better.

    2. Live Longer and Help Your Body

Smiling benefits your immune system as well. There is no doubt that your emotional help is very much connected to your physical health. Those who smile more have a bigger chance of living a longer and more relaxed life when compared to those who frown or don't smile as often. It has been stated that smiling alone boosts your immune system, and it can even help you to live 7 years longer than normal.

    3. Relieves All Stress

When smiling, it releases endorphins to your body, and this can happen whether it's a real or even a fake smile. This change of mood is going to make you feel so much better and not feel as much stress. It's up to you to decide whether you are pull out a smile or not when you're stressed out. Remember, it takes more work to frown than it does to smile, so smile whenever you can.

    4. Make Somebody's Day by Giving Them a Smile

It has been said through a research study done by Hewlett Packard that seeing another's person' smile actually stimulates the brain and heart a bit more than receiving money, or eating chocolate. Smiling is thought of to be contagious. It was found that it was harder to frown when somebody is smiling to you, and so the common reaction is to mimic the movement and to smile back. You can light up the day of any person. It's amazing at how a single smile can help light up another person's day.

    5. Change How People See You

While it is true you should never try to worry about other people's thoughts or opinions about you, but there is nothing wrong with trying to show your happy side and being the best person you could be. People who are found smiling more often are usually thought of and perceived as more trustworthy, sociable, competent, and sincere.

A smile can say a thousand good things about you, and the best part is that it benefits others and you. Some people experience better health, a better immune system, and the ability to have less stress and more laughter.
